About Me.
I'm a 24-year-old writer-director from Portland, Oregon. My passion for storytelling was ignited by the writings of Cornelia Funke in "Inkheart" when I was 8 years old, and it hasn't ceased since. I went from writing stories as a child to acting in and writing plays in high school, and then to studying and making movies.
As I watched movies growing up, I realized I didn't see myself in them. What very little representation there was on screen of women, especially queer women, in main roles was minorly offensive and often inaccurate. My main career goal is to bring content with diverse representations to the screen and behind the camera.
Since graduating, I've won Best Director at the Toronto LGBTQ+ Film Festival for my thesis film, and have won multiple awards for my queer western feature film. I'm currently writing another based on an international romance.
